MCPA&F Weekly Newsletter 11.19.25

Hello Indivisibles,

The House and Senate overwhelmingly voted to release the files. The ball is now in the felon’s court, but we’ll see if he TACOs out…we will all watch to see what happens next. In positive news, we can celebrate the fact that Texas’s gerrymandering ploy was denied by a federal [Trump-appointed] judge who cited racial discrimination. Join us as we continue to quiet the pig…

Saturday is a big day in Montgomery County as many of our families will be attending the Martha’s Farm volunteer day. After that, join us to spread the word about Citizens Bank’s involvement in funding ICE concentration camps like Moshannon Valley Processing Center (where Abrego Garcia is currently being detained).

We are encouraging any of our members who are able to travel to Washington DC between November 20th and 22nd to attend the Remove the Regime protest and rallies. Join influencers like Cliff Cash, Harry Dunn, and Michael Fanone, and celebrate with musicians like Dropkick Murphys to pressure Congress to REMOVE THE REGIME. If you can’t make it, be sure to contact our members of Congress and urge them to impeach, convict, remove. You may also donate to their cause.

📌Events📌

  • Thursday, November 20th: Zoom. November Immigration Chat @ 7pm. Join us for our November immigration chat and immigration focus group meeting this Thursday at 7 pm on zoom. Learn how to protect your neighborhood from ICE with Montco Community Watch. Register on Zoom to attend.

  • Saturday, November 20th- 22nd. Washington DC. We encourage members to join the multi-day Remove the Regime that includes lobbying and training, then wraps up with a rally and march including music performers.

  • Saturday, November 22nd. Norristown, PA. Volunteering at Martha’s Farm. This is a family friendly event. Kids age 6 and older are welcome but must be monitored at all times. Volunteer activities include planting, weeding, watering, harvesting, and landscaping. We all learn a lot together. The day will start at 9am with a tour of the farm. The shift is from 9am to 12noon. Even if you can't stay the whole time, come out to join us and give back to the community.

  • Saturday, November 22nd. Willow Grove and Limerick, PA. Citizens Bank Protest. Join us Saturday, November 22nd at 11 AM as we come together across Pennsylvania to send a message to Citizens Bank and raise awareness in our communities about the Citizen’s role in supporting for-profit detention operators.

  • Saturday, December 6th. TBD: Save the date for another Citizens Bank Protest.

Sunday, December 7th. Next IMCPANF meeting 1-3pm, RSVP for details and location. Bring some gifts for our mutual aid swap- a great opportunity to share some things you no longer use around the house, for all ages! Any leftover things will be donated to Worthwhile Thrift.

 IMCPANF To-Do List:

  • Montco Watch is asking that if you see your local police working with ICE, call your local non-emergency police department phone number and let them know you don’t want police cooperating with ICE in your town. You have the right to ask why police are with ICE and to let them know you’re disappointed with their presence at ICE kidnappings. We need to let our local police departments know that we see them, and the community does not feel safe calling the cops, or living in a place where police are working with ICE.

  • Call Citizens Bank at (800) 922-9999 and urge them to stop funding Geo Group, which owns and runs American concentration camps like Moshannon Valley Processing Center (where Abrego Garcia is currently detained).

  • Call members of Congress and ask them to impeach, convict, and remove Trump. You can use 5 calls for this script, and others.

Thanks for your great efforts. Keep up the great work, and be safe!
