IMCPA&F Weekly Email 12.4.25

Hello Indivisibles,

We hope everyone is staying warm and safe as we head into the holiday season. Don’t forget to shop small and local, and avoid Target, Amazon, and Home Depot when shopping. See our social media channels for suggestions on better alternatives.

We hope to see you on Sunday at 1pm in Collegeville for our monthly in-person meeting (Thomas Paine Unitarian Church). This month, we are collection cash or monetary Venmo donations to Community for Change towards tween/teen holiday gifts for families affected by ICE detentions. See details below.

If you’ve been tuned into Montco Watch’s work combating ICE in Montgomery County, you may have heard about the Welcoming 62 initiative, which asks municipalities and townships to adopt formal policies outlining a pledge of noncooperation between police and ICE. We are proud of Montco Watch’s bravery and dedication to coalescing our county. Today they held a press conference in Norristown, shedding light on the importance of our law enforcement’s role in keeping our communities safe and free from civil rights violations for all county community members. 📌Events📌

  • Saturday, December 6th. Limerick and Willow Grove, 11am: Citizens Bank Protest. Join us Saturday, December 6th at 11 AM as we come together across Pennsylvania to send a message to Citizens Bank and raise awareness in our communities about the Citizen’s role in supporting for-profit detention operators. RSVP for Willow Grove here. RSVP for Limerick here.

  • Sunday, December 7th. Next IMCPANF meeting 1-3pm, RSVP for details and location. Bring some gifts for our mutual aid swap- a great opportunity to share some things you no longer use around the house, for all ages! Any leftover things will be donated to Worthwhile Thrift.

 IMCPANF To-Do List:

  • Please donate to Community for Change’s Holiday Toy Drive for families impacted by ICE detentions. They are accepting puzzles, books, toys, crafts, gift certificates, and Venmo donations. Donations are accepted through 12/10.

  • Montco Watch is asking that if you see your local police working with ICE, call your local non-emergency police department phone number and let them know you don’t want police cooperating with ICE in your town. You have the right to ask why police are with ICE and to let them know you’re disappointed with their presence at ICE kidnappings. We need to let our local police departments know that we see them, and the community does not feel safe calling the cops, or living in a place where police are working with ICE.

  • Call Citizens Bank at (800) 922-9999 and urge them to stop funding Geo Group, which owns and runs American concentration camps like Moshannon Valley Processing Center (where Abrego Garcia is currently detained).

  • Call members of Congress and ask them to impeach, convict, and remove Trump. You can use 5 calls for this script, and others.

  • We are asking Clearfield County Commissioners to end their contracts with ICE and the Geo Group at Moshannon Detention Center. Call and email to demand that they stop this partnership! (814)765-2642 or email twinters@clearfieldcountypa.gov, jsobel@clearfieldcountypa.gov, dglass@clearfieldcountypa.gov

  • Click here to sign a petition asking Governor Shapiro to stop PA’s collaboration with ICE.

Thanks for your great efforts. Keep up the great work, and be safe!
